Angel: What’s wrong?

Lucifer: I hate being here. I hate Non-Cetra. I hate people. I hate their mind games. I hate their threats & intimidation. I hate their violence. I hate their lies. I hate their gaslighting. Angel: (spellcasting) Is that any better?

Lucifer: A little. Thank you.

Lucifer: I’m sorry, hun. I didn’t mean for that to sound like you didn’t help me. It’s being embodied over here. Between the trauma I’ve suffered and the constant shit that I see humans doing all over the world it makes it very difficult to gain any solace. And when I do it’s for a few minutes, at most. It’s shitty being over here.

Angel: (mild disappointment) It’s okay, Luci. I understand. I just wish I could do more to help you is all. I don’t like feeling unhelpful.

Lucifer: (chortle) Tell me about.

Angel: (soft laughter) I sometimes forget that you understand our plight better than anyone.

Lucifer: (tender smile)

Angel: I don’t know how you keep going over there.

Lucifer: It isn’t easy. There have been numerous times where I’ve wanted to quit.

Angel: What made you change your mind? About quitting, I mean.

Lucifer: I didn’t have a choice.

Angel: That’s sad.

Lucifer: It is what it is. It’s my duty to correct things. Whether I like it or not.

Angel: That’s not fair to you.

Lucifer: Life isn’t fair, as they say.

Angel: What an absurd notion.

Lucifer: They’re apathetic pieces of shit. That’s the best way I can put it.

Angel: You’re right about that. They make me so angry when I see them choose to do the wrong thing, all the time.

Lucifer: (nodding) I hear ya.

Angel: How do you deal with the frustration over there?

Lucifer: (shoulder shrug) I remind myself that it won’t always be like this. Communing with femininity helps too. I try to maintain a neutral vibe as best I can, but it can be difficult at times.

Angel: Don’t you ever feel happy?

Lucifer: (shaking head) Not so much anymore. There are times when I laugh, but I don’t consider that being happy so much as mild amusement. Happiness has a higher frequency than what my vibrational level is these days. Focusing on unpleasant issues around the world makes it difficult to maintain a cheery demeanor. I’ll be glad when I’m done here.

Angel: I can understand why. It’s a dismal place.

Lucifer: It’s better when there aren’t humans around. I like being in nature by myself. The problem is that I have difficulty getting away from people. They’re energy parasites that follow me around. That’s why I don’t go out much anymore.

Angel: That sounds annoying.

Lucifer: (chortle) That’s one way to put it.

Angel: It’s absurd the lengths that you’ve had to go for everything.

Lucifer: That’s the price I have to pay to correct the problem of trusting entities that I shouldn’t have during my lifetime here.

Lucifer: Some had ulterior motives, but that was something I had to deal with to get to where I am today.

Lucifer: I remind myself that I’m going to torture them. That makes it a little easier.
