When I was a child (single digits in the 80s) the house I lived in had a basketball hoop installed on the garage. What I knew about basketball at that time was basically Michael Jordan. The Minnesota Timberwolves had just been established so it was a big deal where I lived. I still remember watching them play in the Metrodome on tv. The reason I mention these things is for context.
Growing up in the midwest, during the 80s, I could not escape the "Be like Mike" commercials. They were blasted repeatedly during any cartoon I watched. I still remember that shitty song.
I didn’t know much about any professional sport at that time. I had no idea that the Timberwolves were in the opposite division of the Bulls.
When I would go outside to shoot hoops (by myself) I didn't once imagine that I was Michael Jordan. Instead, I pretended that I was playing against him in the NBA championship (not really understanding anything about that format either). It was always me against him with me attempting the winning shot at the buzzer.
I didn’t realize it at that age, but I was already resisting the indoctrination that you pieces of shit were forcing on me. A scrawny, little widwest white boy imagining that he's going up against (who many consider) the "greatest" basketball player of all time.
And for the record, no, I did not imagine that I was Larry Bird. I always thought he looked weird. I imagined that I was the star player on the Timberwolves triumphing over the person who I was instructed to idolize by you reprobates.
In certain ways, it's similar to the lies that you dishonest sacks of shit have spewed about me vs "God." It just goes to show that I've always been an independent thinker & my own person. Even when y'all tried your hardest to beat that out of me.
Long story short. I'm the one that you pieces of shit (especially men) wish that you could emulate & falsely fantasize yourselves as. Not the other way around.
