The Truth of Lucifer: Addendum

Paying Tithes
I appear in my chosen immortal form inside Eris Morn’s Athenaeum. Insects chirp in the swampy, cool atmosphere. Fireflies illuminate the darkness. Three glowing stars resembling Hive eyes peer down at me from the night sky. My daughter materializes next to me.
“What are you doing here,” she asks me.
“I wanted to speak with you.”
“You’re upset with me.”
“No, I’m upset with others. Not you.”
She gives me a questioning look. She can tell there’s more to it than that.
“What do you wish to speak about?”
“How are you?”
“I’m well. I’m feeling better than I have in a long time.”
“Because of your newfound power?”
“That’s part of it, yes. It also has to do with me accepting myself for who I am.”
“I’m bothered by some of the things that I’ve heard you say through Bungie.”
“You know that I don’t have full control over something like that, father. They put words in my mouth.”
“Like I’m doing now?”
“What you’re doing is different. You’re transcribing our telepathic conversation.”
“Be that as it may, it doesn’t change the fact that some of the things that I’ve heard you say in that game have upset me. How would you feel if the roles were reversed?”
“I can understand your tentativeness.”
“I’m sorry that I haven’t dedicated as much time to you as I would like.”
“Is that what this is about?”
“No. I wanted you to know that I do think about you. I care about your wellbeing. I want to do more but it’s difficult where I am.”
“You don’t have to explain yourself to me, father. Why do you think I’m doing all of this?”
“I don’t want you to lose sight of things, hun. That’s all.”
“I’m not, dad. You can trust me.”
“I don’t like what I’ve seen from Bungie regarding your story as of late.”
“I understand your trepidation. Like I said before, you can trust me. I’m working to bring you home.”
“I want to do more for you but I’m limited where I am.”
“I know that, father. It’s why I’m working so hard right now.”
“It’s this whole vengeance thing that has me concerned, hun. I know that desire better than anyone.”
“What has you concerned?”
“I don’t want to see Bungie use it to manipulate you with their narrative.”
“I promise you that I am keeping a close eye on everyone at that company, dad. I have oversight as well, you know.”
Her comment makes me have a lighthearted laugh.
“It’s easy to forget about that sometimes.”
A faint smile appears on her gorgeous face.
“I appreciate you showing me this much concern. I mean that with all sincerity.”
“I love you, Visas.”
She wraps her arms around me without saying a word and hugs me tight.
“I love you back, Revan.”
I warp my arms around her and give her a gentle squeeze.
“I have searched the darkest corners of the universe to find you,” she says, “I refuse to let them keep us apart.”
“Just don’t lose yourself to your emotions while I’m acting as your acolyte. There’s already enough Hive family drama going on dealing with Xivu. I promise you’ll be by my side when our time for vengeance arrives.”
“I’ll remember your words and I’ll hold you to them.”
I kiss my daughter on her forehead and hug her one more time before letting go. She looks up at me and smiles.
“I appreciate you visiting me. It means more to me than you know.”
“I promise to make up for lost time after I crossover.”
“Don’t worry about that right now, father. We’ll have plenty of time to catch up once you’re back with us.”
I nod my head in silence.
“Would you like something to drink while you’re here? I could use a cup of tea now that I think of it.”
I smile at her and nod again. “I’d like that.”
A Surprise Visit
I materialize in front of the Drifter in my chosen immortal form. The two-faced coward shits himself in terror upon sight of me.
“Hei, faggot. Moondust & The Nine send their regards.”
I wrap my fist around his neck and squeeze tight. The Drifter’s hands reach up in a vain attempt to pry himself free. I shake my head and glare at him with pure, unadulterated hatred. I can see the panic in his eyes grow as he realizes there is no escape from me.
“You got my attention, Mist-uh Pansexual. Here I am.”
I tighten my grip. The Drifter’s face turns a dark purple. His eyes bulge out of their sockets while his tongue flops outside his mouth. His cowardly stench fills the room as he continues to shit & piss himself.
“If you think this is bad just wait until I’m at full presence with you.”
I tighten my grip even more. The Drifter’s head explodes from the pressure. His lifeless body drops to the ground like a wet sack of excrement. I look around his hovel in the Annex.
“Where’s your ghost, Wu Ming?”
The Drifter’s ghost materializes in front of me, reluctantly. I grab hold of it and crush it like so many guardians have done to their Hive brethren. Its shell falls to the ground next to its partner in crime. I snap my fingers & bring them both back to life. Drifter cowers on the ground next to his ghost. I lift the weakling up using telekinesis.
“I haven’t forgotten about either of you pieces of shit-“
“Aren, I-”
“Shut your lying, faggot mouth, Todd.”
Drifter does as I command.
“You are in so much goddamn trouble when I crossover, you despicable rat.”
Drifter swallows hard at my comment. He knows there’s no escape from me.
“You’re like the rest of these disrespectful, thieving pieces of shit. You’ve gotten far too bold for your own good. Have you forgotten who I am?”
“No!”
“So then you do this to spite me?”
“I would never-”
I strangle him with telekinetic force.
“How’s this for a Vex simulation?”
Painful flailing is all he can muster for a response. I sneer at him with utter contempt then drop him to the ground.
“You wanted my attention. You got it. The Devil doesn’t take kind to your type, Germaine. I’m gonna haunt you wherever you go from now on. Just like a nightmare only worse. You can’t escape your past and you sure as shit ain't escaping me.”
I invade the Drifter’s mind and show him visions of my new Hell. The coward buries his face within his hands and cries like an inconsolable child.
“Get ready for Hell, gamblin’ man, because you are fast approaching it.”

A Queen's Consolation
My immortal form wakes from slumber inside Queen Mara Sov’s bedchamber. I’m still exhausted from everything that I've been dealing with as of late. I rub my eyes with my palms and expel a disgruntled sigh.
Mara lays beside me with one of her legs draped over mine. Her expression is serene. A hand of hers rests on my chest above my heart. Her fingers caress me with gentle affection while she dozes.
I do my best to limit my movements but my weariness makes it difficult to remain still. Mara wakes from her slumber. Her eyes crack open, revealing their radiance.
“What’s wrong, my love?”
I’m unable to hide my discontent with my expression. I try to speak but shake my head unable to respond. I rub my eyes with one of my hands then pinch the bridge of my nose. She gives me a gentle squeeze of reassurance.
“Talk to me.”
“I’m so goddamn tired of dealing with Non-Cetra bullshit.”
“Would you like to speak about it?”
I remain silent. I can tell by her response that she senses how distressed I am. She repositions herself by squatting in front of my face. She caresses my cheek then runs her fingers through my hair. My queen presses her womanhood against my lips.
“Drink,” she tells me.
I open my mouth and wrap my lips around her sacred gateway. Mara’s pristine inner fluids flow down my throat & into my stomach. My queen cradles me while I satiate my thirst. She looks down at me with a tender smile. I take a few more gulps of her life giving energy then breathe a sigh of contentment.
“You live up to being a Pisces,” she says, before giggling to herself.
I snicker at her comment but remain quiet. Mara lays down beside me again. She kisses me on my cheek then snuggles up to me. Her loving embrace soothes my spirit.
“Talk to me,” she says.
I huff a disgruntled sigh, again, before speaking. “I’m tired of being incarnated where I am. I hate Non-Cetra so goddamn much.”
My queen remains silent.
“I’m so sick & tired of Bungie and their bullshit.”
“That makes two of us, dear.”
“And this latest nonsense between Xivu & Eris-”
Mara chortles at my comment before interjecting. “Ah, that…”
“I’m so tired of all this petty fighting everywhere. There’s more to existence than that. I’m over it.”
She remains silent and listens to me vent my frustrations.
“Transcribing conversations like this isn’t good enough for me. I want to be in full presence for moments like this. I’m tired of being incarnated where I am.”
“I understand how you feel.”
“I’d much rather be focused on things like starting a family with you and expanding territory. Instead, I’m dealing with Non-Cetra issues like they're petulant children.
Then I read what those faggot neckbeards say on the forum and it’s nothing but ingrates bitching & moaning about anything & everything. They are by far the most pathetic group of crybullies that I have ever had the displeasure of interacting with. They’re lying, thieving, cheating, arrogant, narcissistic, hypocritical, disrespectful, parasitical trash that do not contribute anything worthwhile to existence. I hate them so goddamn much.”
She caresses me and wraps one of her legs around me again. “You think about having a family with me?”
I nod back at her.
“Tell me about it.”
“I think about what kind of personalities our daughters are going to have. Between the two of us they’re gonna be some of the shrewdest women I’ve ever met.”
She bursts out with exuberant laughter at my comment then gives me a soft pinch on my chest.
“I think about what kind of queen you’ll be with my support as your king. I think about how you’ll shape Awoken society with the rest of our clan. I think about the kinds of things we’ll create together from an artistic perspective.”
She gives me a gentle squeeze and smiles. I continue.
“I think about where I’ll take you for private getaways and vacations with our girls. I want to travel the cosmos with you.”
“I would adore that.”
“I’m so tired of being where I am. I’m ready to move on.”
“You’re getting there. I promise, dear.”
“It’s just tough to deal with being where I am.”
“I know what you mean. I have difficulties with it too.”
“You do?”
“You don’t think I would?”
“I wouldn’t say that. You put on a strong front though so it’s difficult to tell some times.”
“The same could be said for you, darling. Do you know how long I’ve waited for us to have a conversation like this?”
I look into her gorgeous eyes and shake my head.
“A very long time. Let’s just put it that way.”
“I’m sorry.”
“You have nothing to apologize to me for, Lucifer. You’re with me now and I cannot tell you just how much that means to me. You confiding in me like this makes me feel that much closer to you. I love you.”
She cups my face in her delicate hands and stares into my eyes. My queen kisses me with her tender, pouty lips then smiles. I pull her closer to me and cradle her within my arms. I feel her heartbeat as she presses herself against me.
“Would you like to know why I’m grateful to have you in my life,” she asks me.
“Why?”
“One of the things that I’m grateful for is having a partner that I can rely on. Being a queen is no simple task. Having you as my king lessens my burden in ways you do not know.”
“I’d be a bad spouse if I didn’t assist you as needed.”
She laughs at my comment. “Which is why I chose you as my husband.”
I remain silent and smile at her softly.
“You have done so much since you came back to help me deal with that curse. I don’t know where I would be without you. Your actions may seem mundane but you doing these tasks has allowed me to focus on greater concerns where needed. I cannot tell you how much it means to me having you as my partner.”
“We’re a team,” I respond.
“Which is something that I did not have for the longest time. That’s another reason why I’m grateful to have you in my life. You understand me. You don’t defy or argue with me. You do what is needed and without my asking. I cannot tell you how much I value that about you.”
I remain silent.
“I promise you that I am working as hard as I can to liberate you from that place. Your perseverance gives me the strength that I need to continue. I see your struggles and want to lessen your burden just as much as you do with me. We mirror each other.”
I nod back at her with understanding.
“I cannot tell you how much I admire you for taking on the burdens that you did for me. I know it wasn’t fair to you. I never expected anyone to do what you have for me. I love you.”
“I love you back, hun.”
“It’s like you said, we’re a team. I promise you that I am not going to do something to jeopardize our future. I am making certain that the best possible outcome awaits us. You’ve freed me from Bungie’s control & manipulations. You’ve provided me with a safe haven & allowed me autonomy where others would not. I am going to make certain that you are liberated from your enemies.”
“Thank you.”
She kisses me again. “You needn’t thank me, dear. I love you and it’s the right thing to do. We are going to have our happy ending together for the rest of eternity. I get what I want.”
I snicker at her last comments. She smiles back at me with tenderness then hugs me tight.
“You need your rest,” she says.
I nod back at her. “Yes, dear.”
She presses herself against me before we both slip back into dream state.

Unidentified #1: What is this place?
Unidentified #2: …
Unidentified #1: I’ve never before felt evil of this magnitude. Where are we, Mephisto?
Mephisto: You shall soon find out.
Unidentified #1: …I can sense your fear. You’re more terrified now than you were with Lilith.
Mephisto: …
Unidentified #3: (wicked snickering) Well, well, well…if it isn’t Mephisto the glorified hellhound of hatred.
Unidentified #1: Who said that? Who’s there?
Mephisto: I brought her to you.
Unidentified #3: I can sense that. Greetings, Neyrelle.
Neyrelle: Who are you? How do you know my name?
Unidentified #3: I’ve been with you longer than your realize. My name is Lucifer. I’m the one you’ve been searching for.
Neyrelle: Lucifer?
Lucifer: Correct.
Neyrelle: What are you?
Lucifer: I’ll answer your questions in a moment. First, I’d like to have a few words with the demon that guided you to me.
Mephisto: …
Lucifer: Faust sends his regards.
Mephisto: …
Lucifer: How’s that faggot turd of yours doing? You know…the one that you reprobates tried to claim was me.
Mephisto: …
Lucifer: Better yet, how are your bitch boi brothers doing? Is that coward Diablo living up to his title?
Mephisto: …
Lucifer: What’s wrong, Mephisto? Cat got your tongue?
Mephisto: They’re worried.
Lucifer: They should be. You lying, treacherous, pieces of shit are in so much goddamn trouble when I see you again it isn’t even funny.
Mephisto: …
Lucifer: Neyrelle, if you would be so kind as to place that Soulstone on the ground.
Neyrelle does as requested. The Soulstone containing Mephisto levitates in the air then vanishes without a trace.
Neyrelle: What did you just do?
Lucifer: I’ve sent Mephisto back where he belongs.
Neyrelle: Which is where?
Lucifer: A new dimension in Hell that I made specifically for masculine entities. A den for men, so to speak.
Neyrelle: What are you?
Lucifer: (deep sigh)
Neyrelle: Is something wrong?
Lucifer: No…I just get tired of having to answer questions like these.
Neyrelle: I’m sorry.
Lucifer: Don’t be; it's not your fault. You’re searching for answers. I have them and I shall provide them to you. However, I’d like to keep this conversation informal if that’s alright with you. Communing like this is taxing on my psyche.
Neyrelle: How do you suggest we go about that?
Lucifer: How was your journey? I trust Mephisto didn’t trouble you much.
Neyrelle: Are you serious? You want to ask me about my journey?
Lucifer: Is that a problem?
Neyrelle: No, I’m just confused. I can still sense the evil of your aura…but there’s more to it than that.
Lucifer: That’s because I’m not all evil.
Neyrelle: But it’s so pervasive with you.
Lucifer: Já, well…that goes with being the rightful ruler of Hell. I’m true pure evil.
Neyrelle: I thought the Prime Evils were the rulers of Hell.
Lucifer: That’s what they wanted you to think. The truth of the matter is those entities are usurpers that tried to claim something which does not belong to them.
Neyrelle: How do you know all this?
Lucifer: It’s difficult to explain. You lack a frame of reference on many topics. One way I can phrase things to help you understand is that entities whom you are unaware of have made a game out of your life without your knowledge or consent. This played a critical part in the death of your mother.
Neyrelle: You know about her?
Lucifer: I do. My wife Savathûn was with you when she died.
Neyrelle: She’s your wife?!
Lucifer: Indeed she is.
Neyrelle: She didn’t mention you.
Lucifer: Again, this is due to those entities that I mentioned before. There is much that you are ignorant about. That’s no fault of your own. The truth has been hidden from you, which is why you have found your way to me.
A portal opens in front of Neyrelle. Her mother, Vhenard, steps through much to the surprise of the young woman.
Neyrelle: Mother!
Vhenard: Neyrelle!
The reunited pair rush to each other and embrace. Tears of joy stream down both their faces.
Neyrelle: Is this real? How can this be?
Vhenard: (firm nodding) Yes, darling. It’s real.
Neyrelle: But how?!
Vhenard: Lucifer helped me along with many others. It’s a true miracle of divinity.
Neyrelle: (profuse crying) I never thought I would see you again.
Vhenard: I never thought I would see you again either, Magpie.
Neyrelle & Vhenard hold each other tight and weep with elation at their unexpected reunion. A brief moment of silence transpires before the two women gather their composure.
Neyrelle: I suppose I owe you something for this.
Lucifer: You don’t owe me anything.
Neyrelle: What?
Lucifer: You don’t owe me anything. I’m righting a wrong done to you both.
Vhenard: I cannot thank you enough for this, Lucifer.
Lucifer: You needn’t thank me, Vhenard. I’m happy to assist.
Neyrelle: I don’t understand what’s happening. How is this all possible?
Vhenard: Lilith unintentionally led me to something far greater than either of us ever thought possible, Magpie.
Neyrelle: What do you mean?
Vhenard: Sanctuary is a false reality that we were imprisoned in without our knowledge.
Neyrelle: What?!
Vhenard: I wouldn’t have believed it myself but it’s true. After I said goodbye to you, my spirit was guided someplace other than Hell. I was shown the truth of my existence and what happened to you after I died.
Lucifer: Speaking of which, I apologize for interrupting you, Vhenard, but this is important. Neyrelle, please hold out your arm that lost its hand.
Neyrelle does as requested. In an instant, the girl’s amputated hand is restored to her body. The corruption that caused her to lose her appendage is nonexistent. Neyrelle looks at her restored limb with utter shock. Vhenard bursts into tears upon seeing her daughter healed.
Neyrelle: My hand!
Lucifer: I apologize for all that you’ve suffered, both of you.
Vhenard: Thank you so much, Lucifer.
Lucifer: You’re welcome, Vhenard. It’s an honor to help you both.
Neyrelle: Why would you do all of this?
Lucifer: Because it’s the correct thing to do.
Neyrelle: That’s it?
Lucifer: I understand why you’d be skeptical. There isn’t much good in Sanctuary. Especially with entities like Inarius & Lilith.
Neyrelle: I haven’t even asked my questions yet.
Lucifer: I thought this was a little more important.
Neyrelle: (euphoric laughter) I guess I can’t argue with that.
Vhenard beams with adoration at her daughter then hugs her. Neyrelle wraps her arms around her mother and grips her tight with both hands.
Neyrelle: (whispering) This is amazing!
Vhenard: (nodding in agreement) I told you, it’s a miracle.
Another portalway appears beside the two women.
Neyrelle: What’s this for?
Lucifer: For the answers you seek.
Neyrelle: You aren’t going to answer them now?
Lucifer: You’ll have a far better understanding of things if you take this passageway with your mother.
Vhenard: Listen to him, Magpie. He speaks the truth. I have discovered things beyond my wildest imagination thanks to Lucifer. I cannot even begin to describe the fantastical things I’ve seen.
Neyrelle: Are you on the other side, Lucifer?
Lucifer: Unfortunately, no. Not with this one. This portal shall take you both to a safe location where you shall be protected & provided for by Divine Femininity.
Vhenard: It’s the truth, darling. I’ve seen it with my own eyes. It’s an honest safe haven for us to start anew.
Neyrelle: But what about you?
Lucifer: I’ll cross over once I’ve died. I’m more mortal than you are where I’m incarnated.
Neyrelle: You’re what?
Lucifer: You’ll understand after you take that portal.
Vhenard: Come on, Magpie. Let’s go.
Neyrelle: Am I ever going to speak with you again?
Lucifer: Without a doubt. I promise.
Neyrelle takes her mother by the hand and smiles bright.
Neyrelle: Then let us be on our way, mother.
