Lucifer: No. I’m furious.
Samus: What can I do to help?
Lucifer: Besides kill me?
Samus: Yes, besides that.
Lucifer: …I don’t know…
Samus: I don’t like seeing you upset.
Lucifer: And I don’t like being upset but there isn’t much I can do about that right now.
Samus: I’m sorry, Luci.
Lucifer: …
Samus: I know that isn’t much consolation for you where you are. I’m just trying to be supportive.
Lucifer: I appreciate the gesture, hun. I really do. There’s just so much stuff here that upsets me. Then my PTSD flares up and makes things worse. I don’t have anyone here other than my mom that I can turn to and she can only do so much to help me. I’m all alone.
Samus: …
Lucifer: Seeing that shit Non-Cetra were saying about you just sent me over the edge…
Samus: You don’t have to say it. I know.
Lucifer: I miss you.
Samus: I miss you so much, baby. I miss our conversations.
Lucifer: I haven’t forgotten how close you got to me on a psychic level. I haven’t forgotten about that at all.
Samus: …
Lucifer: It’s upsetting to me when I see them disrespect my clanmates. It’s upsetting when they treat you like you don’t actually exist. I hate them so goddamn much.
Samus: You know…I never thought about this until I met you, but what happened to me as a child was somewhat of a blessing in disguise. Yes, it was difficult losing my parents but at the same time I was fortunate to not grow up around other humans.
I didn’t think much about that before, but after observing you where you are…I was fortunate to be raised by the Chozo. It gave me a perspective that I wouldn’t have if I had grown up & lived a regular life around my own kind. I wouldn’t be the woman I am today if that hadn’t happened. I wouldn’t have met you like I did either.
Lucifer: …
Samus: I love you, Luci. Do you hear me?
Lucifer: Yes, I hear you.
Samus: It means more to me than I can say how much you take me seriously. I don’t want to cause you problems.
Lucifer: You don’t cause me problems, Samus. None of this is your fault. It’s Non-Cetra bullshit as usual.
Samus: I know that but I still feel somewhat responsible because it was about me.
Lucifer: I understand what you mean, hun. I’m like that too, but I promise you that isn’t the case.
Samus: …
Lucifer: I didn’t mean to upset you.
Samus: You didn’t, baby. What upset me was seeing how upset you were. That’s why I had to do something. I hate seeing you like that.
Lucifer: I don’t enjoy it much myself, hun. If we’re being honest.
Samus: (lighthearted laughter)
Lucifer: I hate nihilists so much. For real. I’m trying to think of a way to say it, but I can’t put it into proper words.
Samus: I know how you feel. I can read your thoughts.
Lucifer: All I want to do is hold you right now.
Samus: That makes two of us.
Lucifer: I just want to hold you…with your forehead pressed against mine…feel the warmth of your breath on my lips…
Samus: I want to kiss you in full presence.
Lucifer: (chortle) I cannot tell you how much I want that too.
Samus: (bashful reaction) You don’t have to. We’re connected.
Lucifer: I haven’t forgotten about my connection with crabby kona whatsoever.
Samus: (jovial laughter)
Lucifer: It’s just tough being here like I am and having to do what I’m doing.
Samus: You know…it’s funny. Non-Cetra put me on a pedestal as a heroine but then I look at what you’re going through where you are…and all I can think to myself is “fighting space pirates wasn’t that bad after all.”
Lucifer: (laughter)
Samus: I love it when I’m able to make you laugh. I love to see you smile.
Lucifer: I miss you.
Samus: I miss you so much, baby. It isn’t easy having watch you over on this side. I’m not very good at taking a backseat.
Lucifer: …
Samus: What is it?
Lucifer: Things are just so fucked up over here.
Samus: (laughter)
Lucifer: The majority of people didn’t take my existence seriously with Christianity; then I incarnate over here with them and even less people take me seriously than before. What kind of nonsense is that?
Samus: (more laughter)
Lucifer: They have no goddamn clue about anything yet they all think they know everything…(scoffing)…what the hell…
Samus: Do you feel a little better?
Lucifer: Yes. Thank you, darling.
Samus: You don’t have to thank me, sweetheart. I don’t like seeing you upset.
Lucifer: Well, I appreciate your concern nonetheless. I don’t take it for granted.
Samus: You’re my verr. I love you, Luci. I’m always here if you need me.
Lucifer: Thank you, Sammy.
Samus: You’re welcome, cutie pi.
Lucifer: (snickering)
Samus: Kalista was right. You are much cuter when you’re laughing.
Lucifer: (robust laughter) Oh, geez. Here we go…
Samus: (laughter)
Lucifer: Thank you again, hun. Talking with you cheered me up.
Samus: Good. I’m glad to hear you say so. That’s what I’m here for.
Lucifer: I love you, Samus.
