SS: I appreciate you setting some time aside to speak with me.
LC: Not a problem.
SS: I’ve been in a bad place for a long time.
LC: You’re preaching to the choir there.
SS: (soft giggling) I knew you, of all people, could empathize with me.
LC: Being in an abusive relationship can be difficult to remove yourself from. Often times the sufferer feels isolated & trapped in a hopeless situation. I’m happy that I could help you figure things out for yourself. I know how shitty masculinity has treated femininity.
SS: I hope you trust me a little bit more.
LC: A little bit. I also know that too many Non-Cetra women refuse to get out of abusive relationships. I helped a woman like that decades ago, and have heard countless similar stories throughout my lifetime.
SS: In all fairness, I’m a much different case.
LC: I know you are, but that doesn’t mean that I’m going to overlook something as serious as that. It’s a major psychological flaw that too many women in abusive relationships share.
SS: Well…if it helps reassure you…I’ve waited a long time to make it to this point with you. I have Divine Femininity to thank for that.
LC: That does boost my confidence some.
SS: (smiling) Good.
LC: I didn’t know any of that shit about Reed because I had no interest in the Fantastic Four comics. That crap I read about him made me dislike him even more.
SS: You aren’t alone there. How do you think I feel?
LC: If I had to guess, I’d say that you feel different than how the people at Marvel are representing your character.
SS: Bingo.
LC: …
SS: I just want to say…I understand, even more than before, why women love you so much. It’s not just how you look over here. It’s who you are at your core.
LC: …thanks.
SS: I mean it.
LC: I know…I just…I have difficulty sometimes trying to find the right response.
SS: It’s okay. I get it. Like you said, this is part of us getting to know each other on a deeper level.
LC: Já…
SS: I’m going to prove my loyalty to you. I promise.
LC: (nodding) I’m not trying to make it about that-
SS: No, I get why it’s important to you, Luci. I do. You have every reason to feel that way. Showing my loyalty to you is important to me. It’s a way to prove that I’m moving forward with my existence and ridding myself of toxic relationships.
LC: I understand.
